Who we are
Pixcopy – a community platform for sharing and downloading creative assets and for showcasing promotional visuals.
Contact: pix@pixcopy.com · Contact page
What data we collect
- User profile information: email, display name, password hash, profile info (bio, links, avatar).
- Uploads & metadata: files you submit, titles, alt text, tags, channels, captions, and technical metadata (e.g., EXIF if present).
- Credit & AI disclosure: optional information you include in the “Credit” field (e.g., author/source names or AI model names). These fields are treated as part of your public Asset metadata.
- Public profile & UGC signals: what you choose to show publicly (uploads, likes, comments if enabled, timestamps).
- Usage & diagnostics: IP address, device/browser info, pages visited, referrers, timestamps, server and error logs (for security, rate-limiting, and reliability).
- Cookies: essential WordPress/session cookies and performance/caching cookies (e.g., LSCache). See “Cookies” below.
- Forms & messages: content you send via contact/support forms or email.
- Anti-abuse: data from security and anti-spam tools (e.g., reCAPTCHA or equivalent) if enabled.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive categories of personal data.
Why we use your data (legal bases)
- Provide the service (User profiles, display uploads, enable downloads) – contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Security & anti-abuse (rate limiting, fraud/spam prevention, logs) – legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- Moderation & takedowns – legitimate interests / legal obligation.
- Transparency & labeling (showing AI-generated or credited authorship labels on Assets) – legitimate interests in maintaining clarity and trust across the platform.
- Communications (support replies, service notices) – legitimate interests – consent where required.
- Analytics-ads (if enabled) – consent where required; otherwise legitimate interests in aggregate insights.
If we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time (it won’t affect prior lawful processing).
What is public
Pixcopy is a public gallery. Content you upload (assets, titles, tags, captions, and optional credits or AI labels) and profile information you choose to display can be publicly visible and indexed by search engines or delivered via our CDN.
Commercials / Pixcopy Ads
Promotional submissions may include brand names, links, and claims provided by users. You are responsible for ensuring your disclosures and claims are accurate and lawful in your jurisdiction. We may label sponsored/promotional content and may limit or remove submissions that violate our Terms.
Sharing & processors
We use service providers to run Pixcopy and deliver content:
- Hosting / CDN & optimization (e.g., LiteSpeed / QUIC.cloud) for caching, image transformation, and delivery.
- Security & anti-spam (e.g., firewall, reCAPTCHA if enabled).
- Email & support (transactional email, contact form delivery).
- Analytics (if enabled; see “Cookies”).
These providers act as processors on our behalf. We do not sell your personal data.
International transfers
Our processors may store or process data outside your country. We use providers that apply appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms).
Data retention
- user profile information: for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion, we will delete or anonymize personal data subject to legal retention duties.
- Uploads & related metadata: while published or until you delete them. Removing an asset may not immediately purge CDN caches.
- Logs: typically 30–180 days unless needed for security, debugging, or legal reasons.
We may retain minimal records (e.g., consent or takedown history) where required by law or to resolve disputes.
Editorial video pages may contain embedded media from external platforms where videos are originally published.
Your rights
Depending on applicable local laws (such as the GDPR), you may request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or objection regarding your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at pix@pixcopy.com or use the Contact page. We may need to confirm your identity before processing a request.
Children
Pixcopy is not intended for children under 16. If we learn we collected data from a minor without appropriate consent, we will delete it.
Security
We employ industry-standard measures (HTTPS, access controls, backups, firewall/caching/CDN hardening). No method is 100% secure.
Cookies
Pixcopy uses:
- Essential cookies for login sessions, security, and caching (WordPress, LSCache/CDN). These are required for the site to function.
- Performance/diagnostic cookies to understand reliability and improve the service (aggregate, non-identifying).
- Analytics/advertising cookies (if enabled in the future). We will update this policy and, where required, request consent via a banner or similar controls.
Managing cookies
You can control cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may break login, uploads, or dashboard features.
Third-party links
Assets and profiles may contain links to third-party sites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
Data deletion & account closure
You may request account deletion via pix@pixcopy.com. Deleting an account removes personal data we control, subject to legal retention duties. Your public uploads may be removed or anonymized; CDN caches may persist briefly.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be posted here with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes indicates acceptance.
